It is hard to be open to change; the feedback is there to help and I notes I received were valuable and honest. I'm learning to take the gold from it and know that in the end, my work will benefit from it.

And you're right, what if I hadn't asked for the review at all?

:0)Shelley N Greenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16682657296442245678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225885110488479850.post-46584117163798163072012-07-05T15:55:12.815-04:002012-07-05T15:55:12.815-04:00Atta girl. But what's the alternative?

Too, not all critique is good, as you well know. It's kind of like going into a supermarket. We don't buy everything we see or have heard about.

One time I wrote a 30 minutes comedy western screenplay. I thought it was funny as all get out. I sent it to a friend of mine who returned it 2 weeks later with suggested changes. It was then that my heart sank. He was right, it needed a rewrite.

The good thing is, I did rewrite it and it was eventually filmed. I sold the rights to it 2 years ago and the last I heard it was being shopped out.

One never knows. Just think if I had not taken the critique.

Hang in there, change when it makes sense, but never against your better judgment.

Good luck!Jeremy Bateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00877532315856151843noreply@blogger.com
